I yanked some pages off a MY2012 RRS Quick Start guide posted on TOPIx a few days ago and posted them on our RRS forum across the pond. Can't tell much from it, but apparently the infotainment system will get a bit of an interface "facelift", and gain some new features (CD storage, possibly meaning a hard drive for copying music files?) Also, the tailgate appears to be fully powered now. Thread: http://rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45954 |

They have been working on improving the infotainment for a few years and recruited a load of people into it - i can believe a face lift there.

Bummer, That's a poor decision! The split tailgate is really useful.... Smacks of another cost cutting move! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black

I would agree that would be a poor decision...i would be surprised, i should ask someone as the slit tailgate was a good feature (a little like the glass on the freelander 1's). It also fitted in with the disco and range rover split tailgate. If its true - I cant help but wonder if its got something to do with the power boot...not that im too fussed and the minute. The split tailgate would be great if it worked like FFRR and the bottom came down to sit on but for me a power tailgate would be much better than the current split unit. |

You wouldn't say that if you were a 5ft tall lady who can't reach the top handle,my wife has to jump and hold on to bring it down |

The power close probably won't help her either..... What's the bets that they put the button for closing it on the bottom door plastic beside the current hand grip 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black

two ways to read it...you let your wife touch the car...or you make your wife shut the boot at great physical discomfort 2014 Facelift Discovery |
