Has anyone seen the new spec changes for the 2012 MY yet?

2014 Facelift Discovery

Apparently new build dates for MY12 is 22 august, no more orders for MY11 being taken, build unknown apart from 8 speed auto across the range!

I yanked some pages off a MY2012 RRS Quick Start guide posted on TOPIx a few days ago and posted them on our RRS forum across the pond. Can't tell much from it, but apparently the infotainment system will get a bit of an interface "facelift", and gain some new features (CD storage, possibly meaning a hard drive for copying music files?) They have been working on improving the infotainment for a few years and recruited a load of people into it - i can believe a face lift there.

The split tailgate would be great if it worked like FFRR and the bottom came down to sit on but for me a power tailgate would be much better than the current split unit.

I cant decide whether i agree with you on that (FFRR type or the current)

But a power tail gate - waste of time, certainly at the expense of the split feature. Mike

You wouldn't say that if you were a 5ft tall lady who can't reach the top handle,my wife has to jump and hold on to bring it down  MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

The power close probably won't help her either..... What's the bets that they put the button for closing it on the bottom door plastic beside the current hand grip ....... And anyway.... I find it quite amusing watching my wife dangling from the handle whilst balanced on only her left big toe trying to close it ..... two ways to read it...you let your wife touch the car...or you make your wife shut the boot at great physical discomfort  Mike
