TURBOCHIP customer care and aftersales issues

Guys,

I'm posting this as a heads up for anyone considering a performance upgrade for their RRS.

I am very pleased with the product itself. I had mine done 2 months ago. At the time, Chris from turbochip forgot to give me a receipt. I have repeatedly texted and telephoned him asking for this to be sent to me. I wouldn't normally be too bothered but my main concern is that when my car goes in for a service, they could put the ecu back to the factory setting. Chris ensures me that if it was to happen, he would perform the upgrade again. As I have no documentation or receipt I am concerned I will have no recourse if this was required.

Its only a minor thing but nevertheless its really very poor customer service! 2013 RRS SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Paul I don't think it is in his interest to get a bad reputation and up until now I think yours is the first complaint about Customer service.I know he was in Australia for a while .I'm still waiting for him to come to Spain but we can never get the dates sorted. C'mon Chris this is not like you Laughing Laughing Laughing He assured me that if the dealer upgraded the software he would come to Spain and upgrade mine. Turbochips banner is on the page.Give him a chance. RRS TDV6 HSE BUCKINGHAM BLUE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR RHODIUM TASMOD SILLS PARROT 3000 EVOLUTION WHITE SIDE REPEATERS RRPORT.CO.UK BROLLY & STICKER

I know that up to the 21st April he was overseas.............. he was back in the UK on the 21st as he came to the factory visit.

Paul, I was going to have my car done but since the ECU reprogramme by the dealer my TDv6 has been transformed, both economy and performance -wise so I decided not to go ahead.................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

To add a little reasurance, when it transpired that my car had already been re-mapped (doh!) I got the cheque back, instantly, even though I had no receipt (I think they take chasis numbers). When I had an engine issue with my car (nothing to do with TC as it turned out) Chris from TC offered more support than my dealer, even offered to bring a new part to my house in an aid to identifying the problem.

When my car was re-mapped by my dealer (whilst TC was in Australia a couple of weeks ago) my car was re-mapped again on their return FOC.

I don't always give out a slab of beer to everyone. These guy's deserved it.

I hope you get the paperwork soon.

Regards,

Rob

Guys,

Don't get me wrong, I very rarely complain about anything. But, at the end of the day though, this is the purpose of forums like this.

Chris seemed like a good bloke to me when I met him and have no reason to doubt that he will not stick to his word. I would though, at least like a receipt to prove I have had the work done by him. 2013 RRS SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Paul,

Paperwork has never been my strong point but I do always look after my customers if there are ever any 'problems'.

I know many companies that print receipts before the work is even done and when you have a problem never bother to return calls etc

Anyway, criticism accepted...just PM me and I'll sort your receipt via email

Sorry, once again Chips with everything
