No power and no acceleration (solved)

I have some problems with acceleration . Today I started the car but I had to push the pedal completely down to get the car start to move. The car has no power at all in the beginning ( from zero). It feels like car is in the GGS (Grass/Gravel/Snow) mode.
When I push the pedal completely down it takes ages to get at speed. When I reached a certain speed (20 km/h) the power is immediately coming up and accelerates as is should.
No problems with acceleration on the high way.

Any ideas what it could be?

Intercooler hose, probably split. Alternative is turbo failure so lot cheaper to check out hose first.

Not 100% sure but Probably a EGR valve issue.
My problem also started at low temperature (-9 Celsius). I did check the intercooler hose but couldn't see anything.
I received a PM from forum member regarding this issue (Thanks Martin Thumbs Up ) he had the same problem as was caused by the EGR valve. Did some more research and found the same problem in this topic:

Also called the dealer and explained the problem and they told that it sounds like EGR valve problem. I have tdv6 2.7 MY06 - and seems that this engines have some common problems with the EGR valves.
Unfortunately the dealer is fully booked till mid January, but they will try to book my car this Friday. I will inform you about this problem if it is caused by the EGR valve or something else.

Adam is your engine also a tdv6?

Went to dealer today.
Problem was the EGR valves. Both changed.

Mine has developed the same issue (MY06 TDV6 ). I spoke to Guava today and they suspected EGR valve(s).

How much did it cost to get yours sorted Adam ???

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Option a: egr blanking kit and a couple of hours of your time with a spanner (£12 off ebay for the kit)

Option b: Crimp the egr pipes where they enter the inlet manifold (free)

Option c: New Egr valves from main dealer (Prob £600)

I thought it was 2007 onwards that have the issue

Pre 2007 were ok?

Just checked, 2006 is fine to blank off with no issues Thumbs Up RRS gone

There is another option I forgot

rather than crimping the pipes where the pipes enter the inlet manifoild, just remove them and place a penny coin in the pipe and re-fix.

20 minute job and worth doing just to see if that's the issue RRS gone
