Was thinking about purchasing an extended warranty for my RRS. Has anybody any thoughts/advice/horror stories on this subject? Would appreciate the guidance. Saw this one....not sure...http://www.carprotect.co.uk

Even Warranty Direct which is supposed to be recommended by What Car, they give you a list of parts that are covered and anything not mentioned is not covered. That probably means there are 100's of things that are not covered. I dont know how many individual parts my car consists of. I do know they wouldn't have covered my parking sensors which cost me significantly recently. I would have been furious if after spending nearly a grand on a warranty that they would not cover the cost.

I think youll find that the warranty you've bought only covers a labour rate of up to sixty pounds, and will not cover the cost of any diagnostic work, which means if you use a land rover main dealer you will always have a bill, probably ok of you use an independent garage that has a lower labour rate.
