It's the pre-facelift "BMW era" wheels that need spacers I believe.

Correct, but spacers are only half the battle.

I really didnt like the 18's ...and so I threw a set of Disco 19 wheels on.

Perhaps in future I should pay more attention to the details of the advice I'm getting!!! it's just a blue oil burner

D3 HSE should fit as they were fitted to the pre-production models, however they have a greater offset and the wheels look too 'inset' (by at least 15mm in my opinion.

To be honest, I don't notice any difference in the offset.

Anyway, this is the result - perhaps ever so slightly agricultural, as they do add some mass to the bottom of the car.
