Checked with the stealer and service was carried out, it would appear the service indicator was not reset, i am told by the chap on the phone that this is common problem when servicng that sometimes it does not re set and i will have to wait until next service for it to be re set again as if done now the required time will be 12 months or 15K from now

Seems that the easiest way to ascertain service interval is by latitude and temperature

The Stealership equipment (IDS) which i promise you i know very intimately, resets the service interval to values derived from and according to a built in table. So dealers don't have a choice. the country is read from the CCF file in the vehicle and they just hit the button marked reset service interval.

for my TDV8, look at the UK interval and wish. There is another schedule for arduous conditions which from memory is 3 months or 6,000 km
for my TDV8, look at the UK interval and wish. There is another schedule for arduous conditions which from memory is 3 months or 6,000 km (mentioned somewhere else in the forum). No definition of arduous though. Your 6,000 miles is roughly just under 10,000 km so is it just a little bit arduous then

. Just seem that there is no other rhyme or reason. Maybe a super computer (like the original Willy Wonka one, see Tim from The Goodies) could figure this service interval differential out
