just finished a 13 car rotating turntable underground in california for a silicon valley client, and you just push a button and the car of your choice rotates underground and comes up from underneath your driveway.....anyone want one here???

That's quite a good idea actually... I'd have one if I had 13 cars. How scaleable is it though? What happens when you get car 14? Confused

Hi Kaine,
Sorry just seen your pm.
The information on my friends farm is here:
http://www.peakdistrict.org/parklife0701a.pdf

and his website:

http://www.busheyheathfarm.co.uk/

Rod is a great guy and very proud of what he has built from an almost derelict farm.
Just tell him Chris Pearson suggested you call.

Hi Kaine
Seems it's not as easy as I thought.
This is the cottage next to me,I was really hoping they would get permission so that I could follow suit.
Latest oil delivery of 500 litres was nearly £300 !!!

Hi Chris,

There are many stories just like this one - I dont quite think the UK is ready for them. I've moved on quite a bit since this post. Although the BMEA site indicates we have an average wind speed of over 5m/s, I've been measuring myself (although not at 15m) and found I rarely get this average. I've also been discussing the Piezoelectric option alongside a client of mine who is planning to install a huge qty into his new build, however I'm now going down a different route; a Wood Chip Burner to remove our dependancy on Gas. Grants can be obtained for upto 50% of the whole investment (unlike wind turbines which you can only realistically achieve 25%) plus planning issues are not applicable as you can locate the boiler in technically the garden shed.

Wood chip burner or Air Source Heat Pump looks like a good idea to me, having checked out a few web sites. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

I've got a mate who installs air source heat pumps. No financial link to me but I'd trust him to do a good job at a reasonable price. PM if you want his details.
