Which Radar Detector

The question is in the title! Which is the best radar detector? I like the look and simplicity of the Road Angel Plus and can get one for about £130 but are they any good and does the RRS's windscreen cause problems with it's operation? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I've got a road angel plus, hardly use it to be honest though.
It beeps annoyingly ALL the time.. scares the crap out of you on the motorway, and tells you about blackspots, and you start to ignore it after a while.. So i don't bother with it much..

Yeah keep your concentration, and keep your eyes peeled and just stick to limits where you can, thats good advice. The road angel plus doesn't work at all in the merc cuz of the laminated glass all round. I think they work fine in the RR Sport. Misery has one hardwired, Jay tends to use his as well when we've gone somewhere... seem to work fine..

Radar detectors are a total waste of money. If it detects something. Its too late. Youve already been done. Also like Kam says they beep on the regular.

What you want is a radar jammer like the laser park pro. Best to have two. One on the front one on the back Wink.

Shame i havent got around to putting anything on the RRS Big Cry . Got done doing excessive speeds on tuesday Shocked . Luckily i did have a good enough reason for the officer to let me off with 3 points. Believe me when i say people have got banned for less.

I'm fine 99% f the time but when you dive on a road you don't know and you've driving a long time it would be nice to be warned of impending cash machines! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I'd get a road angel plus mate, and get it hard wired in.. part of the hassle is charging it up putting it on the dash, taking it off, rubbing off the sucker marks.. does my head in. So i hardly bother to use it.. know what you mean though, when your out of town obvious speed camera areas are good to spot..

I have a Beltronics Vector (dont remember the model without looking).... it works great most of the time but now I notice some cops with radar guns dont show up... cop cars do cause it to alert me very early.... especially good out of town were the police hide behind signs and the like...

Not that we drive fast here in Houston Wink (unless your on I10 and its a zoo !)

Oh and there good at picking up the timers on traffic lights 10 beeps and they change... Brit across the Pond Wink

VA I use mine all the time even places where i know i'm going but in the time you've been there last a lot can change?

I just now ordered a antenna so it will work in the 7 works fine in the RRS mate

I think i tend to do it do a update on it just for i go out

You can have it hard wired in thats cool but then you don't need the plus that's more for some one that wants to move if from car to car Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 Gone but still around
