Hi, this is my first post since getting my RRS HSE a couple of weeks ago. Have managed to obtain info from other threads on upgrading most badges to S/C version, however have seen no advice on how to remove rear badge.

Also, some re-confirmed advice on wheel cap centres would also be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum mate and congratualtions on your new purchase (you won't regret it ... I think)

As to the Rear badge, I removed mine by hand using merely my fingers. Other owners used smthg
like a dental floss or fishing Nylon rope to slice the sticky foam and release the green badge.

Afterwards you'll need to remove the residual sticky foam and render the paint clean and ready
to paste the Black/Silver one. For that I used a dry towel, slowly and VERY carefully I started scratching
the foam off (bit by bit). I felt the paint behind the badge got slightly damaged (lost its shine) but
that was not a problem since the new badge will cover that area anyway.

As to the wheel cap centers. I recommend taking the wheels out to remove them.
Otherwise, you risk breaking a clip or two (which is OK if you do not care to keep the old ones).
Alternatively, you can drill through the caps and pull them out to be replaced with the Black ones.

boiling water on the badges that will soften the adhesive, then just pull them off, as for the wheel centres, i use a sharp point and flicked them out  some of my Previous cars

Hair dryer on the badge, melts the black adhesive and the badge just drops off, or will light persuasion anyway.

The black residue, now thats more tricky. I found recently when debadging a different car, the black stuff was hard to remove, but with constant hair drying (heating it up) and rubbing it with a towel, it came off gradually, and i polished over it with some good wax, and its as good as new, no paint damage no nothing.. Your neighbours look at you a bit funny, wondering if your actually drying your car by hand using a hair dryer, but sod em, they wouldn't understand anyway!!

There is that stuff that you can buy from your local hardware shop/Robert Dyas or whatever that's used for removing chewing gum etc - that works well on that sort of stuff.

I would just be worried on using any checmical or anything on the car, in case it made the shine go or worse take a layer of the mettallic paint off!! stick to a hair dryer and towel i think..

Mine took no chemicals or fishing gut etc. to cut sticky pad. Simply get fingernails under one edge and then VERY slowly start to apply pressure away from car body. The sticky pad will start to peel away from paint - keep an even pressure and do not be tempted to go quickly. keep it very slow and it will just come away. Guys - this is my first post (have been lurking since May!).

Just taken the rear badge off. Used hairdryer and credit card to lift the badge, then Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover, credit card and cloth to gently remove the residue adhesive. 15 minute job and perfect result. Now to stick the black one on!

On my last visit to the dealer, I ask them to take out the HSE lettering, thinking they would certainly do it better. The result was good, but not completely perfect. With sunshine you can slightly notice that something was scrub there.When I replace the LR badge… I definitely will do it my self.

BTW… can some one tell me what the ‘Supercharged’ badge dimensions are?

you can also use petrol in removing residue lest by the adhesive.
