Have a read iv posted in this thread as well to help others for this mod to over come the failed glow plug issue.
Seeing as timed climate was an option on D4s its no real difference fitting this to a d3 difference being its not timed you choose when you want to use it.

Good luck 👍

Hi,

although many can pay nearer half that Whistle

Do agree you can only spend money once so you choice where to spend it

also agree with RRS and as I said GP's are used a lot more than just starting so if there not working, the engine is not running at its optimum ( oh hold on Landrover Rolling Eyes )

Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005

Granted the GP are on a lot for optimum whatever.

But having driven one around not knowning the gp’s had failed, and then replacing them I noticed no difference what so ever.

I would notice more difference running 2so Rolling with laughter

I am engaged on a full exploration of this system.
I can tell you that poring hot water on the temp sensor raises the temp by 8 deg C ( I have a digital display for engine temp)

10k is not the right value .....its more like 270k ohms (270 thousand) to raise it a similar amount to the hot water.

The temp sensor on my 2.7 is on the driver side in the top radiator hose near the air flow meter.

ppl have done it before you.

2K or 5K resistors are known to work. and make the ecu read hotter (and I assume inject more? fuel to make it start)

On a freezing day, a 10K resistor in parallel with sensor, only makes the ecu read ~1C. So this is why it doesn't work

be careful not to confuse RRS and Disco sensors. Mine is 16k at 3 deg and 10k takes it to 59 c Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

If you have a 2.7 the sensors should be the same. Unless the EU4 engine with the sensor by the airbox has different readings
