As I have said before ........ even though I have had both arms & blades replaced - I am still not happy with the noise created in wipe mode...... juddering and generally noisy , however the passenger side does appear to be somewhat quieter. I have replaced the wiper blades myself on previous occassions with LR blades hoping that it was this simple, but all LR blades are poor. [ they hot swap very easily ]

The answer is .............. do I wait for these new improved LR blades... or purchase some Valeo or RainX ones as soon as someone gets back to me from all the emails I have sent out Evil or Very Mad .....

Saying all this , it'll probably never rain again Rolling Eyes

The Valeos that I used are made in France, so I hope that those over the other side of the pond have easy access.

They are alson on Amazon.com -- I assume they will ship anywhere.

I am also interested in the post mentioning some cleaning fluid to remove the wiper residue. I too have a haze on my winshield that does not come off with normal cleaning. If you have a lead, please pass it on.

Thanks all.

Hi NYC. Just got the car back from the dealers. They've not fitted LR wipers with new compound because they're on back order (that tells its own story). However, asked about the cleaning fluid for you: it's actually Jaguar screen paste part no C251638. Seems to work, probably offers a temporary fix for the front chattering noise and rear smearing? Good Luck! Wink

Thumbs Up OK

You'll be pleased to know I have just been over to my dealer [ parts depot ] spoke with them & having looked on the system they informed me that the wipers for the sport have had a new product part number - which usually means new product....... this new number was allocated/introduced in December.

The part No. is = DKC500150

I have ordered a pair @ £12 each Sad ..........well why not .... the sun was shinning Cool

Nice one MDP. When my Dealer gets them in, he's going to slap on a set of blades under warranty. Although £12 is actually a surprisingly good price.., gives Halfords a run for their money. Please let us all know if they stop that noisy "chattering" and messy "skipping"? Thumbs Up
