OK you little piggies, through a well-informed source here in the US (a BMW forum!), I found out that Bosch Icon, Rain-X Latitude and Valeo Ultimate are all virtually identical wiper blades, likely made by a single company and private labeled. Don't know if this helps, but just in case you were wondering whether the Valeos may be better or worse than the Rain-Xs... They are the same blades.

My dealer (Stratstone High Wycombe) kindly fitted new blades in November under warranty.

It is now mid February and they are shagged again. With all the salt and spray on the roads at the moment the passenger side is hardly clearing the screen - instead it leaves a white smear across it if I don't use shed loads of wash fluid on it every time!

I say again, why should we (the users) have to find the solutions to these manufacturer probelms? They should have teams of people sorting out stuff like this - the negative publicity alone must make it worth their while!

Don't misunderstand me, I am very grateful to everyone here for all thier valuable input but the LR should be doing more to help I feel. It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!
