No problem Paul, the more the merrier and of course cheaper, anyone else who is remotely interested post here as the bigger the numbers the better deal we will all get.

PS can a mod set up a sign up thingy for me Embarassed for interest only, you will not be held to anything.
I will do the same on the dark side when I have more info on what we can supply.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Tonga Green

Hello Members. Haven't been on for months and was browsing.
I use De-Ionisers in my field of work and a word of warning. Softened water adversely affects the resin in de-ionisers which massively reduces its lifespan. If you have a water softner at home use the pre softened supply.
We supply the Elga de-ionisers, which can be bought in various sizes.
Elga are based in High Wycome (www.elga.co.uk). Look at their range.

This is from the filter guy.
Bit of a way to go but things could be looking good.

Hi there,

Thanks for that I think I have identified a media for total reduction in a 10” cartridge. This type of system would mean that you pay for the housings only once and then insert a cheaper cartridge every time it runs out, as opposed to buying the housing and connections every time. It would also mean that you could have different cartridges to perform various stages of car washing. For instance having a basic calcium removal for washing and then a d.i. cartridge for the final rinse.

Many thanks for the info

Paul

Keep me in the loop please. I live in a hard water area and anything that cuts the labour down of cleaning the car is worth trying.

Did they give any estimate of how long each colour does last Question

Is there an indicator to warn you or do you just wait for the water marks returning to tell you to change it Question TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Will try and tie him down to hard info after the 19th. I think he may be worth waiting for, you will just get what works from this guy and you won't be paying for fancy advertising / websites.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Looks like there is a loss of interest Josh................... I can recommend Jay's local Africans - they made a great job of washing my car when I was down in Luton last week, the car was filthy after driving south from Stirling to Lancaster in what is best described as a tropical downpour all the way! It is still glistening and looks like it came out of the showroom even after the long drive north on Saturday. Cost £7 and was good value, but a hell of a long way to go for a car wash Laughing One thing I wasn't oo keen on though was that after the hand pre-wash the car had to go through one of those IMO conveyor type car washes with rotating brushes.......... it's the first time I have put any of my cars through one of those since the rear wiper was ripped off an MG Metro that I owned way back in the early 1980's! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Contacted the supplier direct from the link supplied, ordered over the phone, they were most helpful. Goods arrived next day, 30inch green cartridge, used for the 1st time yesterday.

Rinsed 3 vehicles, as instructions, it works! My only comment is that it left "micro dots" of what seems to be the resin particles within the cartridge all over each vehicle, so I had to use my auto glym polishing cloth, once they were dry to remove the "micro dots" this defeats the object but hopefully this is due to it being used for the first time, will keep you posted after next Sundays session.

Bonus point.......the wife reckons the treated water will be good for her steam iorn, thought it was my toy! Hope she dosent latch on to doing the windows too, if she does I wont have much car cleaning time!
