IONIC WATER SYTEMS - Rinse system for cars

I have just received their brochre and spoken to them in depth.

Just spoke to the Ionic systems re their " soft water " rinse products.

Obviously the length of time a cartridge lasts is dependant on how soft or hard the water is in your local area?

There a couple of options to consider:-

1. 12" cartridge or a 30" cartridge

2. The colour of the cartridges come in either BLUE or GREEN - this determines how pure/soft the water will be when filtered.
BLUE = Zero t.d.s [ no spotting whatsoever - ideal for black or dark cars ] This removes 100% of the impurities in the water.
GREEN = 30 t.d.s. [ ok for silver or light colour cars ] This removes approx 98% of the impurities in the water.

t.d.s. = Total Disolved Solids

Obviously the blue is working harder so won't last as long as the green cartridge. [ they cost the same ]
You can also use both a green and a blue together - running them in line - ie green then into the blue. This way the blue would last a lot longer requiring less frequent replacement.

OK we now come to costs..................

12" Cartridge inc vat & delivery = £44.99 order....... CIRB12 [ blue ] or CIRG12 [ green ]

30" Cartridge inc vat & delivery = £74.99 order ...... CIRB30 [ blue ] or CIRG30 [ green ]

if you need wall brackets to securely fix them these can be bought in pairs @ £24.75 a pair + vat + delivery = [ free delivery if bought when buying a cartridge ]

All you need then to do is use a bit of hosepipe and hoselock connectors to link it all together. When finished rinsing - let the water drain out of the cartridges to prolong their life.

Cheers & Happy rinsing Cool

Martin

Being in the Plumbing / Heating business let me have a quick word with a firm that I use for my water filters / softeners etc, worth a quick enquiry before you all start taking the plunge.

I bet these things do work. We live in a very hard water area and when I wash my car, it often looks worse than it did before I started.

We have a water filter on the kitchen tap and one of the Brita filter kettles. The water out of the kettle (after going through two filters) is excellent and our kettle has no limescale in it after well over a year. If these two little filters can do this, then I'm sure one of those hosepipe filters would work too. Matt

It will definately work - its a more commercial version of the " FLASH " home kit which I have tested and use regularly = with superb results!

Using the ionic system should just make life a little easier Very Happy

My Black sport has never needed leathering off at all & this sure does save on time as well as looking good Thumbs Up

Have just spoken to his office. they certainly do them or something very similar.
He is back in the office this afternoon and will give me a ring.
If you can hold on it may be worth getting a group buy going if we can get some good prices from him, I am sure there will be quite a few people interested on here and on the dark side Shocked
Will let you know when I have spoken to him.

Ours are actually really good - seem to be quite proud of their work. Mind you, not that I ever take mine there of course, that would mean it being clean Wink The Mrs takes her FL there though.
