Ok have spoken to my 'filter man'
He can basicly do loads of stuff and goes right up to commercial car wash size. He did say that the smaller 'filters' could have quite a limited life span at 100% filtering.
I have sent him the web site address of the one that MDP has spoken too to show him what we are looking at as he started blinding me with science after a while.
He will check it out and let me know.
He said they are very popular with window cleaning firms.

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

From the dark side...I'm definitely interested in the group buy if the technology stands up to scrutiny...our water over here in Belgium is awful...and with two black cars - it's murder. Would not use the "ringdri" thing though. I dry my cars with 100% cotton de Wit Litaer terry towels that are washed separately (from other household washing) without any fabric softener. This is the only way to avoid micro-scratching the finish while drying or polishing the car. Chamois is terrible as it tends to hold grit Evil or Very Mad 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

Now if were talking cleaning windows Caz Shocked

I use a small Karcher to steam clean mine - then simply squeegee the window [ top to bottom - removing the steam ] = Job done no smears/marks/spots ......... just simply CLEAN Very Happy

Update.
This is from the filter guy.
Bit of a way to go but things could be looking good.

Hi there,

Thanks for that I think I have identified a media for total reduction in a 10” cartridge. This type of system would mean that you pay for the housings only once and then insert a cheaper cartridge every time it runs out, as opposed to buying the housing and connections every time. It would also mean that you could have different cartridges to perform various stages of car washing. For instance having a basic calcium removal for washing and then a d.i. cartridge for the final rinse.

Many thanks for the info

Paul
