My experience with Pimp my Range / Speed Culture - same company

I placed an order with the above company for items amounting to the value of £1949.00 week commencing
14th February, with a delivery date of
18th February.
Nothing was delivered; I was then told the order would be with me on
21st Feb.
Again nothing was delivered; I was then told it would be with me on
22nd Feb, again nothing was delivered.
I spoke to the Jason on
22nd Feb and he said he would call me back regarding the order, didn’t hear back from him.
I called back on
23rd Feb (in the morning) and was told he would look into this and call me back in 15 minutes.
I didn't hear back from him and I chased this up at 5pm.
He told me the courier company have delivered the items and will get back to me regarding this.
I asked for the Courier details including parcel tracking number, did not provide this.
On 28th Feb I emailed the company asking for a refund, to which they agreed.
2nd March – they said the refund had been done.
4th March - chased it up, they confirmed it had been done.
9th March – said would get back to me.
11th March – Jason was not in and would get back to.
15th March – Spoke to Jason, he said he would go find the paperwork and call me back in 15 minutes that was at 14:13!

I’ve now put a call into the credit card company to raise a dispute.

That sounds INFURIATING!!!

If they wanted me to bank roll their cash flow for a few weeks I wouldn't have a problem, but just be honest with me!

I wouldn;t want any company to bank roll my payment to aid their cashflow... The sooner you get your hard earned back the better...

is this more a very disorganised company with little in the way of process or genuinely trying to do you out of your money

We will soon find out.
Returning a customers call after a refund is over due by two weeks doesn't take much organising. I find communication is the key in any business.

Let me tell you what happen to me. Last week i was about to get a few things from pimpmyrange.com after sending an email they told me it would take 3 to 4 weeks for a steering wheel and that i should get what was available. The next day i called to place the order and wait 4 weeks for the item. And thats when they told me they didnt have it anymore reminding me i should get a similar item.

Never buy stuff from a website with too much ads. RRS TDV8 2010

Last year :
- Sent them 4 emails for enquiries
Never got a reply
- Called them 7 times (SEVEN) on their phone number, always had a voicemail

15th March – Spoke to Jason, he said he would go find the paperwork and call me back in 15 minutes that was at 14:13!

Never called me back, I called him back at 16:00, he told me had been busy.
He has now admitted the refund has not been done and will do it today (15.03.11) and call me back once it has been done.

16th March 13:50 - Still no phone confirming the refund has been done.

When buying on the Internet on outside High Street, ALWAYS :
- pay with Paypal
- pay with Amex

If any problem occur, you're covered.

I recently bought a steering wheel from DC4X4 and it was not properly described so I cancelled.
Paypal refunded me in 24 hours.
No hassle…

Firstly hi to everyone i'm a new member but have read a fair few interesting topics on here.
I came across this thread when i searched reviews on Pimp My Range after i received an order from them which was incorrect.
I immediately became worried after reading this thread. I spoke to both David and Jason at PMR and i have to say they were very helpful, although not great at returning calls when they said they would. My items were incorrect through the fault of the manufacturers description.
Jason arranged collection of the items and issued me a full refund immediately on receipt of the returned items.
Hope you guys got sorted in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!
