Now with winter pics added - Scottish members on holiday

OK guys, I stated over on the general section that I would be happy to set something up so let's start the ball rolling................................................ what would you be interested in doing? As I am not going to be around until end of June and I would prefer to be in attendance too I am thinking of July or August for this.

BTW This would be open to ALL Martin's forums but I'm starting it off here and also it would be open to all members because at that time of the year there may be members from the sarf who can combine this with a holiday up here.

Options 1 and 2 would be just an open event, bring your car, family and picnic.
But for option3, if folks want to do LRE Dunkeld, (which is excellent and non damaging as it is designed to show off the cars at their best and not designed to get them damaged!) there is a quite hefty charge (it used to be £0 a car for 10 cars when I last ran an event there) and a minimum number are required to make it viable.

At the moment this is purely an expression of interest, nothing can be done by me until mid June and there is no limit to numbers
LRE DUNKELD IS NOW NOT AN OPTION AS THEY HAVE STOPPED TAKING PRIVATE GROUPS IN THEIR OWN CARS 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I'm sure there will be some form of summer event a bit closer to SE England - the problem is that most events happen in the SE or Midlands of England - us guys who live up here have an 8- 10 hour drive from Glasgow/Edinburgh to get to them so I'm trying to get something arranged that at the most is a 2 hour drive for the Scottish guys, which isn't easy! Anybody from the south who is prepared to drive an 800 mile round trip is of course very welcome to join in. Sign up, it's only an expression of interest at the moment 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well LRE Dunkeld is out................................... it appears that they have stopped taking private groups as Rescue01 over on D3 has just found out http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic30777-45.html

However all is not lost - there are the Forest Drives in the Trossachs and another venue I cannot mention yet but is spectacular, on hard laid private access roads in the Trossachs and is a 16 mile circuit which is totally non-damaging and can be run on big wheels shod with thin rubber! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

the drive just above callander was a nice drive when i did it the other year, with my brother volvo following on very low profile tires without a problem, with a few places to park up and take in the scenery and lochs and have a picnic if you wished to

Nick I have a much better one up my sleeve but like all offroading adventures(even on a laid private track) in Scotland I have to have the permission of the land-owner, even though the track is an access road to their forest and is used without permission by mountain bikers and walkers - taking 10 or more RRS's and any others that come along tends to get unwelcome attention these days. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
