Despite not being affected back at the start of this thread, it seems mine has now fallen foul of this. Went to load up the back of mine yesterday, opened boot, turned around to pick something up, turned back and smack!! Rolling Eyes Maybe it is age thing... combined with the cold weather. I agree with Esoteric, while it's an understandable explanation it still shouldn't happen. Haven't had a car with a hatchback in years, so not sure if I remember other cars having their struts affected by the cold. Only aware of leaky struts up until now...

Noddy,

Had any response yet?

Anyone,

Has anyone reported this to their dealer, and if so, what was the reply?

Perhaps we should ask L322 owners on RR.net to see if they have the same problem, I shall set a post on fire over there and let you know what is said.

As well as this issue - does anyone else experience noise when going over speed bumps etc, I cant work out if its noise from tailgate or from the retractable loadspace cover?

Hard to describe ( rattle ) - could be tailgate , but to make sure I will take out loadcover completely and go home via bumps to test.

I have just this past morning heard a noise while going over speed bumps and rough roads. Sounds a s though it is coming from the front end though my first thoughts are to check the exhaust brackets and hangers on the ramps in our workshop.
Will report back to let you know the outcome. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I have noticed some noises form under the car when going over slight bumps, mainly only hear it at low speeds, in and out the driveway etc, and I reckon its those damned lead weights under the car swinging about. L319 D4 HSE

Left work last night & removed the rear loadspace cover. Went the usual route home ( via speed bumps around sons school ) and the noises/squeaks/rattle were still there Crying or Very sad So... verdict is ... its the tailgate. I would say its not adgusted correctly for a tight fit when shut. However not sure if its the main door/hatch or the glass top hatch ? Will get service to look at it when in for the recall.

Martin,

try unscrewing the rubber stops half a turn and then shutting the tailgate and trying that for a while. L319 D4 HSE

I got this rattle too after I had the rear seats down. Rethreaded the rear seatbelts thru the wee brackets on the backrests and the noise has gone. I may have been lucky, but it's worth a try.
