ACE removal

Need some help please, 2011 3.0 diesel RRS. I'm removing the ACE and replacing it with standard bars but getting conflicting opinions about re writing the CCF files. some people say the files can be re written and that you will not get any warnings or messages relating to ACE, others say they've done but the warning still appears. Need to know if anyone has actually achieved this sucessfully before i bite the bullet, thanks.

The obvious question is why?

High pressure rubber pipes available cheap.

It's a 6 month old post from someone who only posted it and hasn't posted since, so it's unlikely they're still here. (Or they are doing a cracking lurking job! Laughing )

As for "weld them up", which bits are you welding to what? And are you sure you'll get a correct amount of anti roll action from said welded up device? And if the weld fails during driving (perhaps the bits welded together can't handle the stress), what happens then?

If one must get rid of the system, at least changing the bars for real solid items means you get the correct sort of anti roll effect for the vehicle. Getting rid of the pump is the same problem for both "solutions" of course.

I do wonder why the OP ever wanted to remove the dynamic response system in the first place. The costs associated with messing around to remove the system are likely to be no saving over just replacing a leaking bar. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It's more expensive to remove the system than to replace a leaking bar as a 1 off job

Long term, it's much cheaper than (eventually) replacing both bars, front + rear pipes and a valve block Thumbs Up

I'm on my second RRS, both of which had dynamic response anti-roll bars fitted. One was sold at 175k miles and the other is currently at 155k miles. I have replaced a grand total of one rear anti-roll bar and that was on the first RRS and it was done under LR warranty.

Are these items really that unreliable that people are too scared to just repair them properly and enjoy the vehicle as it should be? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Given the supply issues around pipework lately, we've had a massive increase in queries above removing the system. Not financially, just to get the cars back on the road again. JLR should hang their heads in shame. 7 months wait on a few bits of steel pipe is not acceptable Censored

LR giving a Censored about older vehicles is a standard bug bear these days. They don't. And eventually the people that spend £100k on a LR will figure this out (via reducing second hand values) and LR will learn via their bottom line.

The thing is that the pipes can be replaced with other hydraulic-rated pipes. And it'll be cheaper than buying LR's Unobtaium pipes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
