On the flip side I'd probably say it was a miss from me.

Looks a bit like they've just stretched a Velar upwards a bit.

I really hope these impressions aren't accurate like they weren't with the full-size which looked OK in the end . . . Non JLR Vehicle

The back end of that looks tragic, much like the velar as mentioned. Is there any need for those twin shark fins - is one bigger one not big enough?

It’s a miss from me too.

It's just an exercise in someone showing off their photoshop skills and their own personal design tastes. Perhaps wait until the real car arrives before deciding that the design is bad. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I’d say the renderings are pretty close, they used the recent spy shots to compare

Front, maybe so, although there's no guarantee that it's the end design. The rear is usually totally covered on prototypes with just enough holes for the lights to be visible. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

hello all

to be honest, I am happy that I ordered the last MY of the L494. if it comes as the rendering, then it will take some time to "acclimate" to this new design.

what I don't like on the new design is the fact, that the Sport looks like a mix of Evoque and Velar.
The l494 with the massive door handles, the dedicated rear lights etc. makes it very special.

we could say, that the L494 gets the "V.S." rating (=very special Smile ) Range Rover Sport HST D350

Can you imagine how good the driving will be in Dynamic mode with rear-wheel steering?

Mountain passes will be so much more fun! Thumbs Up --

that rear end also agrees with this lastest spy shot (https://twitter.com/cars_pixels/status/1491020913202298882):

Well, it is going to be dull then, isn't it.

I like subtle and restrained styling - the L405 was always a good looking vehicle for me, especially early on before they started adding bling to it - but there's subtle and restrained and then there's dull.

One thing I do hope is correct about that render, however - I do hope they've finally removed the stupid fake vents from the top of the bonnet. They are the single worst feature on the RRS. They're nearly as bad as the silly displaced rear number plate on the D5. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I am a bit meh about the renderings which I suspect are not too far off given the mule. To me at the front there is something a bit off around the area below the grille with the separate lower section accommodating the number plate (I think the current design makes the car look higher/more imposing since the number plate is quite high up).
From the side they haven't messed around too much only streamlined as they did with the FFRR which makes sense but the rear just doesn't do it for me especially if they drop the exhaust pipes (I know the electric ones won't need need them but all the same its one of the features on the current RRS which I think looks great). I am sure it will be a step up in terms of driving and suspect the interior will be quite similar to the new FFRR which to me isn't necessarily a great step forward as I am not a fan of a giant Tesla style tablet.
I love the current 'bulky bling' look as I always thought if you want something more elegant / not in your face go for a FFRR whilst the RRS is supposed to be the brasher louder sibling complete with superfluous vents and more aggressive styling! MY2022 HSE Silver D300 in Firenze Red with black contrast roof

The Autocar rear end (below) is much cooler. Agree that the render above is boring....

Given my age and when second-hand prices mean I am likely to be able to afford one, I could well be looking at my last car. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
