Had mine 2 years now at the end of the month and love it. Bought mine from a mail dealer on 28k miles and just clocked 38k yesterday. I have considered chopping it in a few times for a newer model but with the low mileage I do and the money it looses just sitting around all week I talked myself out of it as can't see I will gain anything that mine hasn't already got so it's staying but might get a remap soon as the warranty runs out at the end of the month. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
2012 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography santorini black with ebony/cirrus interior. Gone

Take it to or Alive or BAS (or one of their agents). Mine is the same model as yours and I had mine remapped 2 years plus ago. You won't regret it. Makes a nig difference.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Santorini Black

So I have had it a week now and I have got over some of the fears of it being much slower than the car it replaced (A3 with a 3.2 v6 petrol).

It *is* slower, but it's not that bad....and once it gets going it just keeps going and going so I am pleased.

Having black on black on black on black (body, glass, seats and now wheels) I have joked about having the "full-on drug dealer look" with friends, but today I went to a motor stores place to get some sticky pads etc to put a new set of plates on it and the guy in the shop ask "Do you have a shotgun in the back of the car?" (this is in London and not farming country) so it definitely has that look about it.

So have a few thousand miles/few months before I have to get the belts done, waiting for that cost which will be fun and also considering the Alive/BAS tuning route, any particular thoughts on these?

One other question, I have realised the car does not have ACC (I thought it did, but I was wrong) is it a major deal to retrofit? Does it not use the same sensor for the front park assist or something altogether different?

Lastly, I might consider the remote add on to enable the heating or fans to cool at some point and the hack to enable the boot opener to also close. Anything else I should consider? Any other worthwhile upgrades?

OOOh, one last question, I don't seem to get BBC channels on the TV, and I am unable to find how to retune the digital receiver (found the retune for the DAB just fine) so does anyone have any pointers?

So, yes I know its not the fastest, or the latest model etc etc...but proud owner posting here Very Happy

So i had the crank issue, new engine in,several thousand miles and enjoying every minute. From this i vowed never to use official JLR dealer/service,a proven indie is great for me.
Alive was my chosen route and really does transform the engine characteristics, one other thing.....Gap IIDTool or similar is essential in my view.
Happy motoring

Great news! Glad you like it!!

I’ve literally just got back from a trip up to Louth, Lincolnshire to Alive Tuning where I had mine remapped. It’s not cheap 475GBP including the VAT but what a difference!! Not only is it so more responsive on the throttle I got a slight increase in the mpg as well so win win for me!! I’d defiantly get it remapped it drives like a different car. If you don’t want to go all the way to Lincolnshire Bodsy will come to you and put a map on it for you, think it might be a Bell map?

Let me know about the ACC question because I was wondering the same thing re retro fitting. The sensors on the front number are parking aids, nothing to do with ACC.

I,m about to order a IID tool with this you can change different settings on the car including most of what you have asked. As for the fuel burning heater (FBH) Bodsy can sell you all the bits you need which as I understand is a plug and play unit and with the IID Tool you can install the software yourself. Cheapest IID Tool on eBay is 415GBP if you email them (Duckworth site sponcer) tell them you are a RRSport member he’ll do it for 405GBP

As for the BBC channels it might just be the area your in mine work fine.... Thumbs Up Cheers Laurence.
