RRS 2005 STEERING GONE STIFF - HELP REQUIRED

Hoping someone can help, I've seen a few posts online and need guidance to try solve this issue..

I have a RRS 2005 4.4V8 and the steering has decided to go stiff all of a sudden.

Before I consider changing the power steering pump I need to know if there's anything further I can do to ensure that it is the pump.

I came across the following link if another guy who had the same issue and if appeared to be a half shaft that required to be replaced and solved the issue.

I'm in the Birmingham area and any assistance would be appreciated.

Try the steering column knuckle joint, they seize on older vehicles, I had mine replaced last year, they cost about £100 plus labour.
They look like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-SPOR...SwImRYFGnW 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

check for leaks where the in and out pipes are bolted to steering rack, you can see them by turning the steering wheel fully clockwise and look from the drivers side wheel, it is common for one or both of the seals to go leading to a slow leak, they are very very easy to change and cost less than £4.00 from a main dealer.

Link to my post on D3 about my D4 leak. The garage told me I needed a new steering rack!!

Issue found it is the UJ Joint.

Any ideas where I can get one from fairly quickly locally?
