We buy any car valuation

Looking for a little help. I'd love to get a post '14 plate model but finances won't stretch that far so will probably have to settle for a post '09 model

Just valued my car through WBAC and got back a price of £9745. It's an 07 plate HSE with three owners, including me and a full service history.

Any ideas what I might get selling privately or part ex?

Thanks!

If you want, you can PM me your registration, I can have a look at my brothers Glass Guide and give you details.
Others may have a current idea of values in area, as it does vary depending where you are, strange I know.

WBAC often quote a price but often knock it right down on seeing car, be wary, many reports of this. John

Johnski is correct, take the WBAC valuation with a huge pinch of salt. You only get offered the quoted figure from them if your car is in perfect condition with at least 6 months MOT. They knock between £15 and £20 off that quoted figure for each and every blemish they find, however small, plus more money off for an MOT of less than six months remaining and any missing service history. They rely on you submitting to them by telling you the money will be in your account inside 10 minutes and many sellers give in to them when those pounds signs start flashing.

Autotrader has a car free car valuation service with quotes for trade-in and private sales, I think the What Car website offers something too

That is very low- that would put my 05 at about £6k.
Friend of mine had money knocked off his WBAC quote as a few of his service receipts were missing- not the stamps, they were all there- just the receipts!!

How many miles has your car done?
I sold my 2007 S with 80,000 miles for £12,250 via forum and Autotrader, sold within 48 hours of advertising.

Has it had its cam belts etc changed at that mileage? Wink John

Oh yes, the first thing along with a service I had done when I bought the car. The indie told me they should've done at 7 years or 105k miles, mine was 85k miles but 8 years

WBAC is owned by Britsh Car Auctions so you won't much more than the value of the car at an auction - they know full well that this is not a good time of year to be selling any SUV too, if you can wait until October/November/ December when we have had some bad weather/floods and maybe some early snow and then the prices firm up a bit as people look for an AWD vehicle for the winter. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
