That's our hotel and please...it is a Radisson SAS hotel. What do you mean by “our hotel” … is it not owned by a Maltese guy how happens to own a LR Freelander …and a Porsche … and a big Merc …and a BMW …and a …….

So.......... Who actually owns this Hotel....

Just so that I know before I fly out there ........... and more than likely get pestered to death to buy into timeshare at the Hotel

Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa

The hotel is owned and operated by the Zahra family (under the direction of Winston Jr.) under license from Rezidor SAS Hospitality in Brussels - we license and/or operate all Radisson SAS hotels in EMEA - and yes, Winston has always had very cool cars which, as I've pointed out to him, seems crazy on an Island. We do not however, have anything to do with their timeshare business... Timeshare business is ruining tourism in Malta . I remember while I was working on the construction site, tourist where shown around to buy timeshare while trying not fall in one of the many inspection pits which where being dug up. This year was the worst for tourism .
This country has a lot to offer in history and wilderness, but it seems no one care to use it to attract tourists .

Access I couldn't agree more. Everyone I spoke to im Malta this year were commenting on the low tourist figures.

As for timeshare - as a "Family" we already have "Gold Crown" 2 weeks prime "red" time . as we speak my sister and family are using it to holiday in Florida/Disney, it did have it perks in the early days when we could swap [ bank ] 2 weeks european time in exchange for 4 weeks in america and still get the use of the 2 weeks at the resort we bought in - when the weeks weren't taken up at the resort = fantastic. But, sadly this is no more.

Timeshare still brings tourists to the Island but they aren't spending their money in Maltese hotels. Lets just hope they spend plenty in the shops?

The only problem with the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa is its location = it's a bit too remote which means to see all our relatives we'll have to hire a car & spend most of the time travelling to anf from

But it is FREE
