Yes over here (Malta) land rovers are very popular and very much loved. You can find hard working old series 1 to latest RRS and Disco 3.
We also have those that go to extreme to modify them for local competitions such as rock crawling.
MDP have you gone to Gozo or Comino? In gozo there is a guy that collects series 1 and rebuild them to there original state.
On Comino the priest have series 1 and the other 2 persons that live there have a classic Range Rover Vogue V8

Hi access, we did'nt get over to Gozo this year , but I did manage Comino where upon I was savagely attacked ( ok stung ) by an unfriendly jellyfish Big Cry Big Cry

Having relatives all over Malta I did get to see a couple of RRS's but not quick enough to take a pic Sad other than the HSE posted prev. The old Classics looked superb & will probably last another 20yrs out there ........

Malta has certainly got more expensive since I last went - petrol is on a par with the UK .... but Cigars/tobaco are still ridiculously cheap. Cafe Cordina in Valletta is a nice stop off point for a Pint of Cisk , Kinnie & Pastitse. I also managed to pick up the latest Home & Away Malta RFC shirts.....

I noticed a couple of adverts in motoring magazines whilst in Malta - The agent is Muscats Motors,Rue D'Argens,Gzira GZR 03 - I didn't get chance to have a look - maybe you could take a few pics of the showroom for the forum Very Happy

We will be back quicker than I thought as we were lucky enough to have won a weeks holiday at the new / recently completed flagship hotel The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa [ if it's good enough for the Queen ] Wink

MRS MDP entered a competition on the net some months ago whilst surfing around for flights etc for the holiday just taken. We got the call just before we left for this holiday.

We have the best suite for a week - just need to book flights for whenever Very Happy

Hi MDP maybe next time you come over we can meet and go for some offroading. Golden Sands hotel is very nice; I did the lightning protection system for the whole building.
Behind the hotel there are the old British army barracks and ranges. We do a lot of offroading there and the AWDC hold there annual off road show.

That looks like a very steap ramp. Wonder how far the RRS went before it could go no more? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
