turbo charger

my 2008 v6 seems very sluggish , its had new egr"s last year, recently I have floored it when not up to full operating temp and it comes up with engine system fault on the display and has little or no acceleration !! having limped home I started it later to find all seems ok again and no message , all was well for a few weeks for it to happen again at the weekend .

the land rover indy I use tell me its probably a turbo replacement job which involves body off to do it and about 3-4 k !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone got any thoughts on all this ??????????

cheers

Most likely a seized actuator. Tin of WD40 and a couple hours work will free it off Whistle Thumbs Up

EDIT: Asssuming it's boost pressure related, best bet is having the fault codes read first

yeah that's what they said and did the first time it happened , he read the codes and said it may be dodgy connection on socket so he gonna clean that up and see what or if it happens again !!!!!!!!! Sad clutching at straws a little but beats the alternative for the moment !!
