Before fully replacing the compressor, it may be worth checking if the air dryer is blocked. You can either take it apart and microwave/replace the silica gel inside or just buy a new dryer. http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/vub504700-air-dryer-5191-p.asp

If you get a new compressor, I'd go for the AMK. If you want a cheaper one, there's this: http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/lr011837a...9034-p.asp Wink

Don't let the software update put you off buying the AMK.

If you decide to replace the compressor yourself, the top bolt on the bracket is a real PITA to get back in. I understand it it easier to access with the AMK fitted. Thumbs Up

Try fiddling with the wires under the drivers seat, you may just find the airbag light goes away. Whistle

Have you checked the EPB fuse? Also try the emergency stop function (pull the EPB switch while moving, not too fast though!) to rule out a faulty switch. Has the EPB "screamed" at all? Look over all the wiring too.

Lower front bushes often means replacing the whole arms. £750 seems steep to me for this but the bolts nearly always need cutting. Said arms here: http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/003rrs-ra...5647-p.asp You will need a 4 wheel alignment afterwards.

They were a 4x4 specialist? They were also very helpful and had all the gear, he seemed to know what he was talking about to. He checked the fuses and battery prior to plugging it in to the computer. He only charged £40 for the diagnostics and the recalibration of the suspension. I was there 1 hour 30mins.

Hold on, didnt you say the suspension was working all ok now? Why are you looking to replace it? Drive it till it breaks. Also £2,400 WTF. They are playing on your inexperience with these machines.

If I we're you I'd do some searching on the prking brake light. I'm sure I saw a post once about that intermitantly flashing up while driving. Also my local Indie have fixed on of those before I'm sure so I'll ask when I'm next their for Air Con regas. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Yeah suspension works fine now but he said the compressor is weak, needs lower arms on front, electric handbrake fault and air bag fault along with a service £2400. Air bag fault is the sensors in the seat or seat belt. Parking brake is intermittent signal or module fault, Both of which I can live with. Ill have a look at that disco thread Smile

Cheers guys

The air bag light, not sure on these beasts but can you not unplug the connector and plug it back in? On old cars I had, some kind of static built up and sometimes would throw the airbag light on. Happened in some cars I had if I remember rightly. Plug was usually under passengerseat but not sure on these motors.

As for pump. I'd leave it till it breaks (if it ever does).

And for bushes... Not sure what I'd do there. Can you see the worn bushes? Do they knock/move? Perhaps get a quote from another garage regarding this.

As for a service, a full service should be about 200 quidish. Thats how much I paid for mine and that was for Oil, filters, break fluid, visual check of everything, pollen filter, oil filter, coolant, etc etc. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Seriously, try this. It's a known issue (and one I suffer from too) - the drivers seatbelt pre-tensioner cable gets a bit stretched/disrupted when the seat is moved. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Service schedule here: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/us...0miles.pdf

I would strongly advise you to get a full gearbox flush done at 75k as now recommended by ZF. Thumbs Up

May be worth being a bit persistent with the under seat cables - I find sometimes one touch and it's gone when I cycle the ignition. Sometimes I can clear it with my Nanocom; other times it just won't go out. Rolling Eyes

I've had another look and it doesn't specify RRS as well as D3 but could still be the cause. Here's the TSB: http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...01-025.pdf Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
