I think if mine was newer I'd go with the LR one- but for my 55 plate WD were by far the best option. They paid up today as well very quickly for the suspension arms and wheel bearing-even paid for the four wheel alignment. |

+1 warranty direct. they took some time to approve the claim which was around ~£2000 worth including labour at main dealer. but in that time, they were not sitting twiddling thumbs, they kept requesting job cards, paperwork and other assisting information about the faults, condition of the car etc to make an informed decision (read:to try and get out of paying it as much as possible!) but in the end if your fault is genuine then they will honour the claim. paid out for the £120 diagnostic that the dealer charges too.

Just been on the WD web site and they only seem to cover cars with under 120k miles. Can anyone recommend companies that offer the service above this milage? 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Has anyone got experience with Warranty Direct where they have taken out a 1 year warranty and have a fairly expensive claim which they paid out on. When it comes to renewing the warranty do they then load the premium? |

Having just gone through the warranty purchase process with them, I found it pretty straightforward of how they limit their liability on parts, but I could imagine me forgetting this detail in the years to come if I stay with them.

this was explained to me by them when I took the cover out it is also clearly stated in the hand book. You have to read the handbook completely with all warranty companies. For example you have to state the oil used during a service and if the mechanic doesn't do it you have to make sure they do, I'm pretty sure they would use this if your engine blows up if it hasn't been done. Another important thing to remember if you have had the engine upgraded, chipped etc this can void your warranty 2008 Factory HST- Sold Arrived 2016 HSE carpathian grey |
