AFAIK the only (so called) DRL setting (Canadian) automatically puts on dipped beam and tail lights as per Volvo's of a few years ago |

Ive updated profile but not showing yet. Its a 2005 supercharged model. The led's look like newer oem ones and are in the headlight. Dotted around the dipped headlight. At the moment they are turned on by turning on parking lights (no wiring has been altered in car apart from headlight itself. All i want is the leds to work without turning on my rear cluster too. If you have installed newer type lights with LEDs these are not DRLs, they are not bright enough

These are the lights here, I didnt fit them they were done by a company who converts headlights and does 2010 upgrades, the picture doesn't do justice but they are very bright.

Looks as though all they have done is fit brighter LEDs, in which case you will either have to keep turning on the sidelights (no great hardship) or find a way of modifying the wiring which, on modern cars with all their complicated electrics, I wouldn't want to attempt.

Piggy back'ing off of the fuel pump fuse isn't the best way, in my experience. My car stopped working after I did this, and both LR and my local garage said it was a silly way of wiring the DRL's. There is a free ignition live just around the block from the fuel pump fuse Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project. DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights. TO DO: color code sills and pillars. |
