Caravan towing/ tow bar issue

Hi all, first time today in hitching up caravan with RRS...

Happy with the power the remapped tdv6 offers... But not used to towing slightly nose down, never an issue with the D2 as had drop pm ate made to measure " perfect..

Any of you guys have issues with towing nose down with the quick detachable towball?? Should I get the NAS hitch adaptor n use a drop plate or stick with nose down?? If it had been a single axle I think I'd be ok but always thought twins should be level??

Many thanks tt

Looks ok to me. We have a twin axle caravan and tow with a RRS utilising a detachable tow bar and ours looks like yours. Just think when you are moving how often have you driven along a perfectly flat road. Normally the car/ van combo is moving either up and down or side to side so having it 'level' to start with may be aesthetically pleasing, but slightly nose down works for us. 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic SDV6

Thanks guys for all your replies..

I think it is more for aesthetics that I always liked it level.... But as you say looks ok, I'd rather have it like this than have a permanent towbar fitted

Many thanks again tt Thumbs Up 2010 TDV8 Bali Blue........ "Alive Tuned"

We have twin axle caravan and picking up our first RRS 2011 model tomorrow, with our discovery 3 the self levelling suspension always got the unit level, is this not the case with RRS ??

Rrsport will keep vehicle level just like disco but caravan should be slightly nose down for safe towing Thumbs Up

From Caravan club website -

When your caravan is attached to your vehicle it should tow level or slightly nose down,

I agree Nick but pretty impressive that FL2 can tow such a big van Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Not too bad towing actually with the lower weight of newer caravans

1670kg (reweighted to 1800kg) and with the 2000kg limit I have I'm a bit below
