United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Rolling with laughter
The last story I heard from a senior tech at Merc, was that you can't use 6th gear due to the gas recycling system not getting hot enough to purge itself on motorways. Having had 5 AMG Mercs from 1997 until 2005 I can safely say you won't keep it long. Since they started making them in South Africa they have had their own build quality issues. Whistle 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

You guess wrong; most of these deals are generally £2,500 deposit and roughly £550 a month including VAT for 10k miles.

Apologies but it happened quite quickly yesterday, only went in to look at a second hand car and ended buying new.
What they offered wasn't a million miles away from a private sale plus a significant dealer contribution was too appealing to go down the hassle of the private route.

There are plenty out there so I'm sure you'll find something Thumbs Up

I had a C Class in that era too. Had an intermittent gearbox fault that just couldn't be fixed. Was going to cost £3k for a replacement gearbox so traded it in. I think the Mercedes QC is better these days though. I considered one when buying the RRS but the C class feels a bit dated compared to the current BMW 3 series.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't picking on Merc or you Nik, just saying all cars seem to have their problems. Range Rover Sports probably more so than others, and I am witness to that Big Cry
Hope your new car gives you reliability and is pleasure to drive. As they say in Ireland, health to enjoy or today, happy Paddys' day Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

No problem but some negativity did seem to come across about my new purchase, not the way I'd like to leave this forum.

I understand where you were coming from but hopefully MB have addressed their problems.
At the end of the day it's a brand new car and I have a warranty Whistle

Nik, hang around, I am sure the group will continue to talk with you and you will continue to engage with us here. I still hang around and I have an X5. Mind you people don't like me much because I have annoyed them with some of my views. I hope that everyone notices how moderate I have tried to be lately!
