Netherlands 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Those Overfinch wheels look awesome!!!!!
First real worthy successor of the good old 20`SC 10 spoke.

This is the first facelifted RRS since the launch,
that comes close to the shock and awe feeling of the first RRS in 2005.

Would like to see a pic of the front, since LR went wrong there on the RRS the last past years!

Hi Skywalker. Thank you for your kind words. I agree - Range Rover and Overfinch have done an amazing job on this car - the facelift looks great and the Overfinch additions are simply awesome! They seem to have toned it down a little bit - still making them look great but not over the top and chavvy.

The wheels I went for (Elara) come in silver/black and silver/gunmetal. I went for the silver/gunmetal, which I think are a bit softer and easier to look at. I think they absolutely rock!! I only chose them this morning, I was going to go for some different ones but changed my mind last minute and luckily they had them in stock!

The front bumper has remained unchanged for the time being - you can see pics of this in my gallery. I'll be getting the new front bumper fitted, as well as the side skirts and I'll be painting my calipers red... although a few people have said I should paint them Yellow instead - OPINIONS PLEASE!

Glad you like it. I'm driving it to Aberdeen, Scotland tomorrow and back the following day - I'll make sure I do a few stops when the backdrops look good and I'll get some pictures.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Thrilled to bits with it!!!!

I do like the rear bumper

Why didnt you get the side skirts colour coded from the factory if your going to have them done (personally not a fan)?

I still dont get the power tailgate - Never find mine heavy and use the top part 4 times a day - great feature, real shame its gone - maybe if they kept the split and added power

I do like the repositioned RANGE ROVER on the rear - toying with moving mine

Anyway - waiting for the .e - 80mpg is the way forward - maybe the split tailgate will return...here's hoping Mike

I didn't know the factory would colour code the bits... otherwise I would have gone with that option, it would save me some time now!

I like the power tailgate - I don't have to get my hands dirty after driving it in the rain and it just seems to make life easier. I never used the top part of mine so I'm not really missing anything.

I'm waiting to see what they do with the 80mpg model as well... if it is as good as they say it will be then I think I'll need to upgrade!!

Okay... so today I've driven from Yorkshire to Aberdeen for business. I am driving back tomorrow, hitting some different towns on the way. While I was on the road, I took a few pictures. I've got free internet access in the hotel room so I thought I would upload these Smile

The first two are at home before I set off. I was worried that the weather wouldn't be that great so I took some early on.

I'm really surprised with how good it looks on the high suspension setting. I've been parking it lowered, but I really like the look of it high up too! The wheels are big enough to pull it off and not make the car look unbalanced. So here are some pictures of the suspension on raised height.

These last two are close ups of the wheels. They are the Elara wheels from Overfinch

As always, I love your opinions so send them my way Smile Thanks!!!

Why would you drive it at the raised height if not off road?

You wouldn't... nor could you at a speed over 30mph... I was just messing with it and quite liked the way it sat in the raised mode... Looks quite cool when parked in that mode Smile
