NEW PICS ADDED - My Brand New 2012 HSE Luxury - Overfinched

Since my original post, I've made some Overfinch enhancements to my car. Check out page 3 for more pictures. Also have a look in my gallery Smile

Picked up my 2012 Range Rover Sport HSE Luxury last night - I am absolutely over the moon with it! It has arrived 2 weeks earlier then it should have!!

Pictures attached but I'll be adding more over the coming months as I make changes to the car.

Range Rover Sports are definitely one of the nicest cars on the road, especially the 2012 model year - the interior improvements over the last 3-4 years are amazing!

Thank you!

I'm going to go to the body shop and ask them to change the matt black plastic bits to body colour. This would be the lower bits of the doors and also the rear pillar. The MY2012 comes with body colour handles and side vents already so that makes it easier!

A week on Monday I have it booked in at Overfinch. They are going to install the rear bumper and exhausts plus put some 22" wheels and red callipers. My aim is for it to stand out from the crowd, but not to go too much that it looks chavy.

Lastly I'm going to get my front windows tinted - ideally as dark as the factory tint at the back but I'm not sure that will be legal - will see what the glass tint guys say.

All of this should be done over the next few months.

I really love the look of it as is, but at the same time I want it to stand out and be a bit different.

Looks good. The colour coded door handles were long overdue!
Look forward to some interior shots.

I agree with Ady 555 about the silver boot strip. It just doesn't look quite right. But hey,
It's new, so maybe it'll grow on me. Is yours the version that now has the powered boot lid?

I quite like the new tailgate - my dad has the 2011 model and I've had them next to each other - mine looks a bit 'beefier' somehow… I'll get some pictures of them at the weekend and show the comparison shots. The new tailgate works really well - seriously prefer it over the old one. The old one was really heavy and always difficult to close - I felt like I always had to slam it… and I'm a big lad! The new one is easy and is designed really well!

Not sure I'd colour-code the tailgate strip… but you never know… I'll see what I think after a bit more time and thought.

I'll do some interior shots at the weekend also - but basically I have the black premium perforated leather with ivory contrast stitching. I have gone for the black headliner (which is a brand new option on the 2012) - really makes a difference to the interior - loads better! I got the black gloss finish. I also went with the sunroof.

A description of the luxury pack from the RR website is below. I wanted most of the included bits so it was worth it for me to upgrade.

The HSE Luxury Pack provides a further opportunity to enhance the specifications of your vehicle. The HSE Luxury Pack consists of Titan Grille & Vent, HSE Luxury badge, Extended Leather Pack, Contrast stitching, Heated Steering Wheel, Premium ICE, Adaptive Cruise Control and 20" 5-spoke alloy wheels. The HSE Luxury Pack must be ordered with Premium Leather or Tan Premium Leather.

Nice motor!

Not so sure about the new rear end yet. The chrome strip and lettering dont do it for me. I think I prefer the cleaner look of the old model. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Thanks for all your feedback.

Getting on really well with the rotary gear knob - its surprisingly easy once you are used to it, you don't even think about it... and that is only after a day of driving!

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

Front end looks good colour coded, but don't like the new position of the lettering, looks like they just asked the apprentice to stick it anywhere on the back! If LR were keen to put it high up like the evoque, then they should have made the lines cleaner at the bottom of the tailgate by taking away the strip!
Nice motor all the same,
Enjoy
