Parking Assist problem

Hi I have just joined this Forum with the hope that someone can assist me. I have a 2005 (sept) 2.7 HSE RRS and the interior dash light for parking assist is flashing all the time (unless i turn it off) The parking sensor does not work any more since the light stated flashing (before the light started to flash I had a higher pitch tone when parking, but at least the assist did work) I booked the car in to land Rover and they confirmed that after all tests that the module was to fault.(sensors OK) (the module in the car is YWC 500312. I ordered a new module and fitted it but the problem still exists (park assist does not work and light still flashing) Does the new module have to be set via a computer?? Is there a trick or method of installing the module that requires a "reset" ?? If it should work could I have maybe the wrong module? RRS 2.7 diesel 09/2005
(Landrover said it should be the module YWC 500730?? but thats not the one in my car and is there a difference anyway) Thanks for any help

Simply get the dealer to fix - it actually sounds more like a faulty sensor than a module . 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The parking aid module has a diagnostic connection via the medium speed CAN to enable faults to be retrieved using a Land Rover approved diagnostic system. Additionally, an on-board diagnostic routine within the parking aid module constantly monitors the system and alerts the driver to a system fault by emitting a tone from the front or rear sounder, depending on the fault.

If a parking aid system fault has occurred, the parking aid module will relay the occurrence of the fault to the driver in the following ways:

The status LED will flash at a frequency of 2Hz if the system is active and fault is detected in the sensors, sounders, related wiring or the module.

The front sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds at a frequency of 1500Hz if a fault is detected with the front sensors or the rear sounder develops a fault.

The rear sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds at a frequency of 1500Hz if a fault is detected with the rear sensors, the switch, the LED in the switch or if there is a CAN bus error.

New parking sensors do not need to be reset via any computer. Malaysia Boleh!

Thanks for your info BOBBY.. I was told by the Land Rover dealer that my MODULE was faulty and sensor were OK!!(sorry wrote sensor on my last mail, meant to write fitted new module) I fitted the new module only to find that I had the same problem, no parking assist and light flashing. I was wondering if after fitting the new module that the system had to be reset via land Rover??? or they did not correctly diagnose the problem ?? ..Thanks

There was a revised module for the earlier cars and no, no need to reset anything.

Can you not identify the problem with the information provided? Malaysia Boleh!

Can i retrofit reverse cameras on my 2009 Sport HSE?

I have a 2009 Sport HSE, and im surprised it doesnt have any reverse cameras! they have been installed in much cheaper cars for years, Now i see that Range Rover have added cameras all around the 2011 models! Can i fit cameras on my 2009? Can i change the whole entertainment system? My satnav also does not function, due to the region im in, is there a DVD that can change the satnav settings? buzz
