Disabling Door and Seatbelt Gongs

I find the gongs that sound when the drivers door is open with the key in the ignition and the gong that sounds when the seat belt is not on annoying and would like to disable them. I do drive with the seatbelt on but there are some offroad occasions and backing trailers that the seatbelt is off and the gong is annoying and distracting.

So does anyone one know how to disable these two gongs (I want the seatbelt display on the dash to remain).

My brother has a new Toyota Hilux Diesel and it has the same gongs - for the door he was able to simply remove a set of wires in the steering column and that stopped the door gong. For the seatbelt gong it was more complicated as it needed to be turned off in the computer. This required a sequence of turning the ignition on and off while inserting and removing the seatbelt tongue into the seatbelt stalk.

I assume there may be a similar sequence for the RRS.

Thanks

The seatbelt gong is very easy to disable.

I did and the only thing that came up was the in and out 9 times trick but the indicator light stays on all the time - I want the light to continue to work as it should but not the dinger.

Oh.. oh...
On my RRS, after the 9-times trick, the gong is gone.
And the lighted seatbelt display on the dash is forever there.

That's the way the light is supposed to work. You don't get the light on your dash after the 9-times trick? Malaysia Boleh!

I understood that the light on the dash would always stay on - so I did not bother going through the procedure. On reflecting though, I thought that the information could be wrong or I misunderstood - and all is good.

The Gong is gone and the light on the dash works as it should - it does not stay on all the time as indicated in the post I found. When the seatbelt is on it does not light up and when the belt os not on the light is on - the gong has gone.

Now to the Gong when the drivers door is open and the key in the ignition - my search did not show anything on this. So how do I stop that??
