Hi,

Just noticed when i take the keys out of the ignition i get a quite loud clicking coming from the left side of the engine, it starts as soon as you pull the key out of the ignition barrel. It does it even if you just turn the ignition on without fully starting the engine.

It sounds to me like a relay or solenoid, any ideas?

Thanks Bell Auto, it does it all the time though, is it something that needs rectifying, the others we have had have never done it?

Turned out to be the left sided EGR Valve that was clicking, cost about £380 fitted at local main dealer

If all these egr valves that are prone to failing why isn't there a recall? why should us the consumer pay for their replacment if out of warranty? Land rover know they are a weak spot so why not get it sorted or haven't they upgraded the egr to last longer, if it was me i would replace with a new one then blank it off.
