Low Beam Headlamp Bulb Retaining Clip - Part number

Changing the nearside low beam bulb the other day and dropped the metal clip that clamps over each side of electrical block and holds the bulb in the headlamp unit.. it disappeared down some recess in the engine bay and now is completely lost...

Does anyone have the part number for this, our local dealer cannot find it and i have no desire for buying a complete headlamp unit, I have standard halogen lights

Any help appreciated

Thanks Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

This UK diagram is supposed to cover halogen as well bi-zenon types. I can't see a clip for the halogen bulb shown only a "cover". If the part you want is there tell me what the number on the diagram is and I will look up the UK part number for you.

Bob scanned in the page and arrowed the offending part from the manual

Its an innocuous piece of metal that retains the bulb within the actual housing on the Australian variant ..

The same set up is shown in my handbook for halogen types but sadly no sign of that clip in the parts diagram that I can see. You could try TLO (The Large One) over on DISCO3.CO.UK - Parts Manager at Yeovil Land Rover).

Perhaps some forum member - or a dealer service department - has a damaged headlamp and would donate the spring clip. Bigger picture shown below to help identifying. (Also seems to be the same clip fitted to the "extender" shown on the previous page of the manual for the high beam bulb)

Zilch, I think I have bad news for you. I did a search for these thingys a while back and they, at the time, were not identified as an individual item, just the higher assembly.

I did this because I have modified my lights for HID on the high beam spot and I wanted the ability to go back to standard. You can see what I did to the clips in the following link.

http://rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic6730.html

You might try PMing Ivery, as he purchased my standard lights when I changed over to the HID units (and then did the mod)

I'm just about to transfer these to my new RRS (when it arrives next month) so I WILL be careful not to drop the clips!!
