I had a Tracker Horizon fitted to my M3, this was only due to insurance purposes. The tracker was allready fitted to the car and I had to pay £25 to register the tracker in my name and then £120 per year subsciption. You can also pay a lifetime subscription which costs around £360, this is worth it if you plan on keeping car for a number of years, (Unlike I do).

As the tracker was allready fitted to the car when I purchased it, I didnt have to pay to have fo the initial fitting. I believe this costs anywhere between £200 and £400 depending on garage .

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

I am currently insured with Swiftcover, these required me to have a tracker fitted to my M3 but not the RRS. Very reasonable (Fully comp £535 for a TDV6).

The SO had a tracker system attached to her ex's car ... she was then able to send in the bailiff and get him caught with his mistress
They work Wink Thumbs Up

The man to talk to in your area is Nigel or Andy at N D Haigh in Thistle Street, Huddersfield. -( Formerly Auto Electrics Halifax when he was mobile)
They have fitted them for years. I was there yesterday and they are a big seller for them. He will advise you. Thumbs Up You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.

Have you tried Land Rover Insurance?

They are very competitive on price and do not ask for trackers etc. They know that Land Rover vehicle inbuilt security is already one of the best in the automotive trade so you don't have to waste your money on non-essential add ons.

They also cover you for off road driving Thumbs Up

Wrap it round a tree, half way up a mountain. They pay.

Park it in a puddle, that later developes into a swimming pool. They pay.

If you don't believe me, ask VA. Laughing Laughing Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

They were the first people I called but for me, they were expensive - £770.... I couldn't understand this as we live in a decent area and don't have any convictions etc etc etc......

Tracker Response is the top of the range. You can monitor the movements/location and speed of your car from your PC should you not be driving it.
Handy if it's in for a service and you don't trust your dealer not to use it as a demo car Wink or alternatively you're gathering evidence for a divorce etc etc. TDV6 - gone

Or as over here, you cannot get theft insurance for a motorbike at a reasonable price. Was quoted 3600 euro to insure a FJR1300 fully comp (Omnium) Big Cry
So GPS systems are to be found in most bikes. Now the theives just flash the bikes with a UHT voltage and scamble the electronics .. then nick your pride and joy. Been there had it done Big Cry I want my R1 back..... It got stolen from Zolder this weekend a year ago Evil or Very Mad Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I have a Cobra Connex , cost me about £600 fully fitted and 4 year subscription. You can control some features of it by PC and mobile phone. Yes you can view where your car is online but after you have done this at work and at home you wont use it again Yawn i suppose its useful if the car is in with dealer or you lend the car out and wanna know whre it is. I was weighing up the diff between a tracker and Gap insurance , i have both to be fair , if these trackers are to believed then getting my car back within the hour without the little thiefs knowing its got a tracker means not much can happen to me motor ( im hoping ) i would assume that most vehicles of this nature would be stolen to sell on so they wouldnt want to hurt the little fellow and decrease their ill gotten gains. My reasons for getting one but not full proof im sure ....
