I have eaten there, and it's really a great experience. It's well worth the money, especially if you do the wine taster with every course. Don't drive home Wink

Change of plan.

We've booked to go to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant now instead, and booked one of his cottages.

Has anyone been to his restaurant? Not the Bistro, the 'Full Fat' Seafood Restaurant? Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

ST

went there two years ago - the food was very nice and service was excellent, however we've had just as good elsewhere and it is way overpriced. Wifey says go for the seafood platter as its the best value and lets to try everything.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

A friend of mine tried to book a table at Rick Stein's Sea Food Restaraunt a couple of years ago, whilst we were on a summer holiday in Padstow. He phoned on the first day of our holiday (early July) and asked for a table for four.

The receptionist asked "What date in November do you have in mind sir?" Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I have not eaten at the Fat Duck but have had several recomendations. I tried to book a table for 8 recently but was told they were fully booked, I believe though its a rule that a Michelan restaurant can only seat a table for amax of 6 heads.
Just returned from Dartmouth where I had Dinner at the New Wngel a 1 Michelain star restaurant run by John Burton Race, had a great meal at a reasonable price.

Given we spend most Easters down in Cornwall, we've eaten there several times (and at his other places too). Great food, the service is very down to earth and friendly and if you want to stay there, the rooms upstairs are fantastic. I've also done a couple of the cookery courses at the Seafood School too - all excellent stuff! Thumbs Up I wouldn't have said it's any more expensive than any other restaurant with a reputation - I'm always happy to pay for a decent meal though Very Happy
