Thanks, that sounds like it might work. I feel that this is either going to be a very easy fix if done in a cunning 'bush mechanic' way, or the LR franchised dealer will find a reason that I will need to replace half the transmission!

On a 2009 you should be still under warranty - I would go back to dealer - sounds like faulty components |

I agree with Muddywheels - if you were using the Sport's wheel brace you should not be able to shear the stud; get back to the dealer and get the set changed. |
