2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
LR fitted ipod interface

Hi,

I've been speaking with the Charles Hurst service department about fitting an ipod kit to my '55' plate HSE. They've quoted me around £400 for the job.

After doing a bit of digging i'm certain that this is a Dension (perhaps gateway 400) product which LR have been given sole rights to.

** Can anyone confirm?

I used to have a Dension unit on my Z4 and although it was a bit fiddly, i could access album, artist, playlist etc and the id3 tag info would come up on the sat-nav screen.

** Will the LR system do the same?

Thanks

From what I remember nothing appears on the sat nav screen but ISTBC. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

There is NO Satnav screen integration with this version, I'm afraid.

2 more questions

can i select the iPod track from the steering wheel controls?

does the iPod have to be mounted on the dashboard. i was thinking on putting it in the storage bin under the armrest. downside being i'll have to take it out each time i want to change the playlist, but hopefully not the track.

thanks

Have a look at this post, with some opinions of those who have had it fitted....

One word: Avoid.

I am still awaiting the beta version of the fully integrated version of software, but to date the phone has been very, very quiet. I can only assume they have run into more issues. Big Cry L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
