Parrot required...

Simple question:

Which is the best Parrot kit to buy? (one without feathers, that is)

I need phonebook synch, the ability to plumb into the head unit so the radio mutes when a call comes in, a mic/caller to come out the audio speakers and CLI on the display so I can bounce idiots I don't need to talk to.

Thumbs Up

Is your present radio a standard DIN type S? Parrot make a system that is also a built in radio and phone system all in one. http://www.parrotshopping.com/uk/p_parrot_item.aspx?i=127845

This is the version I had in the last car

Nope, not a DIN fitting Tim - it's the usual integrated BMW "Professional" head unit so not looking to replace the entire thing. Don't need Satnav either so probably will go for this one. Do I need to buy the BMW adapter to go with it? It says that it is supplied with an ISO cable that fits any car... but then it pops up the accessory cables as if to say "you need one of these".

When mine was fitted I just said to the LR dealer "go -do" and they went and did!

There is also a Motarola device that is similar but has no display

I have the 3100, works fine, got what you are looking for, but should I do it again I'd probably go for the 3200. '08 RRS TDV8

If you want to stream music via bluetooth, you'll need this one.

Iphone has bluetooth but not A2DP (yet) to support it. It may come with a firmware upgrade. 2022 P440e AB

And for those (like me) who didn't know what A2DP is:

Quote:
The A2DP profile describes how stereo quality audio can be streamed from a media source to a sink. The profile defines two roles of an audio source and sink. A typical usage scenario can be considered as the “walkman” class of media player. The audio source would be the music player and the audio sink is the wireless headset. A2DP defines the protocols and procedures that realize distribution of audio content of high-quality in mono or stereo on ACL channels.
