United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Welcome to the RRS club! Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Australia 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 SE Rimini Red
2007 3.6TDV8 RRS

Mike C here in AUS
2007 RRS 3.6TDV8 - mild chip
bought 2nd hand in 2016 at 213,000km's
257,000km now
Very well maintained (some might say over maintained) by the original owner who I bought it off - I've kept up the regime

great car - love it

Accept it's at a stage where things go wrong but spending a few thousand every year on repairs is a hell of a lot cheaper than buyng a new one here in AUS at AUD180,000 when I only paid AUD24k 2nd hand
Couple of current issues I'd appreciate some advice on

1. 1 week ago, whine in the front kicked off - sounds like a bearing on the way out but have also had reports in the past of small mettle slivers in the front diff when diff oil changed
2. fluttering sound kicked off a couple of months ago - can hear it from low to mid acceleration range - read somwhere it might be a split intake manifold

Appreciate any advice the forum can provide

Cheers

Mike C

Hi,

I know I’m going to be getting some use out of this forum for ideas etc

Looking forward to some decent thread conversations

What did you buy?

Just out of interest, what did you buy and from whom?

I've got a 2007 RRS 2.7 tdv6 HSE in silver love these trucks and I know I shouldn't as I'm a mechanic an know how much of a pain they can be! πŸ˜…

Needless to say mine will be getting stripped down this weekend as the cambelt tensioner has snapped off the oil pump!! 😬😑😑😀😀

So I'll keep you all posted and start a forum post specifically for that job!! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Bonatti Grey

Good morning all,

I am currently looking for a Range Rover Sport as I have always loved them - Only the L494 models though πŸ˜‰ - Although I have do have an appreciation for the older models, it is the L494's that make me feel the way only women should πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

My dream RRS would obviously be the SVR, however I don't think they'll let me finance the car over the 25 years I would need to pay it off !! I am a mechanic so my plan is to get a decent, early L494 and fit the SVR kit to it πŸ‘πŸ» - Apologies to all the purists who think that these lovely cars should be left well enough alone, I am right there with you however the SVR is the dream but they are just too much money 😭

I am Mark by the way ☺️

Take care, stay safe and enjoy the coldest bank holiday August on record and thank you for having me πŸ™‚

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Hello Community,

I own a 2006 Range Rover Sport for about 4 years now. This is my first time ever joining a forum, but since some things fail frequently on my vehicle I assumed it certainly makes sense to join and discuss issues some of you might already encoutered before.
Greetings from Germany
J

Hi Newbies

Welcome to the forum. If you are looking for good advice on how to maintain your RRS and enhance it, or just chat about them, then you've come to the right place. Not that I've been involved in many other forums but it is said that this is one of the best (with its sister sites) for help, advice and guidance. You shouldn't feel embarrassed if you think you're asking a stupid question - just ask away. Largely you'll be politely steered in the right direction. And the worst that can happen is that we'll all have a good laugh Rolling with laughter Robin

Welcome, Chris. Lost of good advice and folks here. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available
