Hi all,
I'm new here. I've had my car now for 3 years. Bought it second hand and am loving it. Just had it remapped a week ago with Quantum tuning and can really feel the difference. Got a much needed boost especially for overtaking.
It's great to be here with you all.

Thumbs Up

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Hi all, I've just brought my first rrs only and early 05 2.7 tdv6 as wanted one in the cheap tax bracket. I'm loving it so far but I've only drove it back from buying it which was 150 miles and it's very smooth, it's a nice looking thing as it's had a onyx conversion done buy a previous owner who I believe was a England cricket players. I do have one fault on dash but I won't start my first hello with a help me questions

Hi Steve,
You maybe surprised to find that not necessarily you'll be sacrificing speed as some of these cars are quick and will really get down the road especially the Supercharged versions. Happy hunting. Thumbs Up

Good work Geoff, you'll definitely notice the difference, even more so on fuel consumption as I guarantee you'll be kicking it in the plums for the first couple of months as the sound and speed is addictive. Once you calm down and drive it steady you'll find they are a great piece of kit. Just make sure your warranty is a good one Thumbs Up

Hi mate. At the moment I`m looking at 3.6 diesels even though I drove my mates recently and was a bit underwhelmed but I`m used to more speed orientated cars, Currently own a 300bhp Focus ST...before that an E46 M3, previously a 340bhp Scooby STi....so you see my "problem". Even with my low mileage I think a petrol RRS would be a bit too thirsty even though that would ideally be my preference.

Hi Steve,
I see what your saying but as Tyrefitter has replied to you as well, if your doing that sort of mileage it makes very little difference and the 2nd gen Superchargers give out 510bhp and the engines are solid. If you want to go crazy why not go for an SVR... 550 BHP as near as damn it, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds top end of 162mph, and I guarantee you will have a smile on your face everytime you drive it as the noise is fantastic especially with the valves opened up in the exhaust, which you can do via a switch, I absolutely love mine but I have had the 4.2 and the 5.0 litre Supercharged models as well and they were both good cars. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

A bit out of my price range for the newer ones. I`m looking at 2008 ish. But, I am now considering the petrol versions. I assume mid teens mpg?

Yeh about right there, you'll be looking at a 4.2 supercharger, might even get a 5.0 litre but the body weight has been greatly reduced on the newer ones and the gearbox is now 8 speed which helps dramatically as well.
Just have a test drive of one and see how you feel, jeez the scooby you had couldn't have been much more on mpg as no doubt you gave it the beans everywhere Laughing Laughing
You won't regret going for a Supercharged one but just make sure whatever model you buy it comes with a comprehensive warranty, some little things can end up costing lots and lots of money Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
