Be careful not to say yes to anything when you get a call, I have involved trading standards before now and the nice people on the end of the phone record what you say and bill you later, it can be used in a court of law. I know somebody it has happened too. no regrets!

There does seem to be a resurgence of these social engineering tricks doing the rounds again. The thing is, there are enough idiots out there who actually DO respond to these things.... Rolling Eyes Knobs.

I hope your lady is not too upset, I deal with this kind of thing daily, I must get 1 in every 5 calls a spurious one.

The last comment made to me was that I was having a bad day, I pointed out that unless he gave me the information I required he would not get past me. I sincerely hope nothing becomes of it. no regrets!
