Instrument Lighting - disabled?

Hi all

The "back lights" on all the instrument buttons have stopped lighting up? Windows, centre console etc.

The speedo dial/ dashboard lights are also now light sensitive i.e. getting brighter and darker depending on the outside light (at night). The only instrument lights active are the air con dials and hazard light.

It's as if it has gone into interior stealth mode but I have checked the settings and mode is not turned on?

Really baffling me - hopefully someone might be able to shed some light on in (pardon the pun!!)

Unfortunately not mate. Still no backlights. Even went to a RR specialist and he had no idea.

Might take a run sometime to a main dealer and ask the question.

If you get anywhere with yours please 🙏 post here!! Thanks.

Einstein moment!! Shocked

I was driving along a very dark motorway last night at 2am and felt that my headlights were very dim. Started turning the switch on the end of the steering wheel stalk and all my interior back-lights came on. Turns out since the service I've been driving on side lights for the last 6 weeks - all I needed to do was put it back onto auto lights setting.

Genius Laughing
Hope yours is an easy "fix" too.

Thankfully they fixed this in 2019. 😂

New stalk, and you can no longer leave auto lights off.
Resets at ignition on or sooner
