Reversing Camera installation?

2006 Sport - The Reversing Camera I intend to install, necessitates making a connection to the wire that activates the reversing back light....is that likely to cause any problems with the wiring set-up or the cars computer? Andrew Kennedy

Andy - The Parking Camera I considering would be mounted somewhere, perhaps directly In front of the built in GPS screen on the dash. I would want to hide the wiring as much as I can. Would I be correct in thinking all the various pieces of trim around that area, with a little brute force and ignorance, simple pull off? Am I likely to run into any problems? Andrew Kennedy

either side of the radio are some silver/grey or wood trims.

At the bottom of these, get a flat blade screwdriver in and pull them a bit until they release slightly.
Then pull the trim near the top of the radio.
Once that is loose, the radio sides and shelf under the display can be pulled out in one piece.

Removing the passenger side vent can be useful for running wires across the dash. I think you remove it by grabbing the beige or black surround and just pulling it off

Should you need a reversing light connection at the front of the car, you can use a piggy back fuse on the fusebox behind the glovebox
