2017 Strange Steering issues

Hi Guys

Looking for any advice/help on the following steering issues i have had on my 2017 37000 miles sport since the day i got it about 4 years ago, i did post about this a few years ago but got very little response about it, so fingers crossed this time somebody may have had the same issues.

Around the doors the car drives great with no steering issues at all, no noises, grinding, stiffness.

On a motorway after approx 15 minutes and only above 60mph, the car steering seems try to electrically auto correct the steering, you can clearly feel a very slight correction one way and then then the other continually when driving, meaning you are forever minutely adjusting the steering wheel, it deffinatly feels like a sensor or something as a-posed to general wear on bushes etc.

The car has 22inch alloys which have all been balanced, even swopped from front to back in case the wheels were an issue, 4 wheel allighment has been checked twice with only a very minor adjustment required, all bushes, tie rods, track rod ends, wheel bearings have been checked and no issues found.

One thing i would mention is the tyres are cheap greenway tyres, which were on the car when i bought it, and still have loads of tread left on them, but cant see how theses would give the symptom i describe.

When the car was scanned no faults showed up with the steering ECU, i am at a total loss at what is causing the issue……..the car only does a few thousand miles a year and 95% is around the doors, so it was never a huge problem, however i may be selling the car and will not sell it to someone while it still have this issue.

I dont mind paying someone to sort it out, but dont know any specialists in the north east to take it to that could correctly diagnose and repair it.

Finally does anyone know if the steering rack or any part of the steering sytem have any such sensors, which may or may not produce the symptoms i describe, i dont mind getting a new steering rack fitted if anyone thinks that is the issue, just dont want to spend in excess of £1000 to have the same issue afterward.

Thanks for reading

Bob
