I’ve used this site for some time now as a great reference point but this is my first post. I have a 2018 L494 Autobiography and love it except for the infotainment system. It needs a software update. So after extensive internet research I’ve found someone on eBay who will be able to help. His eBay name is map-updater-2017. Has anyone used him to either give me an email address or mob no to discuss further his services as eBay don’t like you talking to them outwith eBay. I am in the process of arranging to go see him. Happy if you know him to let him know I’m asking for this and PM me. I am coming down from Scotland to see him. TIA.

I went through JLR and Here.com as I couldn’t get set up properly. It was them who told me my software was ‘Very outdated’. This they said is the reason why I can’t get SOTA working properly. This guy says he can fix this. I’ll update this post when it’s done.

Buonasera, ho un problema ad attivare i dati mobili ed il Wifi dell’auto. Andando in concessionaria mi hanno detto che dovrebbero forzare un aggiornamento e che non hanno certezza che questo vada a buon fine, rischiando di bloccare tutto e di dover poi spendere cifre astronomiche. La versione software della mia auto è la s18c. Per caso qualcuno di voi ha riscontrato problemi simili oppure ha trovato qualche soluzione?Grazie in anticipo per le risposte.

Are you using a data only SIM, such as used in a tablet?

Are you sure it is ready to use and does not need any setup?

Obviously different to UK but SIM are you trying to use?

Sì sto usando una sim solo dati. Ho provato a fare anche il soft reset. Ho fatto staccare la batteria dalla concessionaria stessa ma niente. Mi hanno solo detto che è necessario fare un aggiornamento forzato con il rischio che si possa bloccare tutto, però onestamente non sono propenso a correre questo rischio a mie spese, perché mi sembra un po’ ridicolo. Per questo ho chiesto qui se qualcuno di buon cuore avesse qualche soluzione

In that case it maybe the SIM card reader is faulty, there were prone to fail.
Version 18C was fine for it to work, I started on Version 17 and used the facility OK.
I am now on version 22 which is the final one.

I would insist on getting the dealer to get it working on version 18 as that is a supported version. 2026 P460e Autobiography on order

Infatti lunedì la porto da un elettrauto locale per fare una diagnosi per capire cos’è che non va. Mercoledì poi vado in concessionaria per far fare la diagnosi a loro per capire se è qualcosa di poco grave. In ogni caso grazie jimbg per il tuo tempo
