Side steps removal

I’m contemplating removing my side steps as they’re a bit tatty and I prefer the look.

Is there any trim that I would need to have to cover anything up once they’re off ?

The trims you will have fitted have cut outs in them to accommodate the brackets. I you don't replace the steps you will need some uncut sill covers, you will need to remove them to take the brackets off in any event.

R/H LR018175 or old no. DPG500521PCL, L/H LR018176 or DPG500531PCL. Find some S/H ones if needed as stupid money as usual from L/R best part of two hundred quid each. If they are original pre-cut one's or some one made a decent job of the cut-out's you may not even need to replace them as the cut-out's may be underneath out of site.

Cheers
Col

Smashing - thanks Col. An uncut pair sourced for £40 delivered.

I was toying with keeping mine but prefer to keep as much mud and crud out or that area as possible.

Cheers

Jonny

Steps removed and despite not being very old, we’re in very poor condition. I have to say, I do prefer the look without them - much sleeker and shows off the lines much better.

Whilst underneath I was extremely impressed with the underside condition of my car. Testament to its early life in Singapore.

I also did mine last year as they'd lasted 6 years. 100% agree on the looks without them. I can't see me adding them again.
Have a look in my gallery and you can see how rusty they can get. It's a very thin gauge 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Some nice work in your gallery Steve - envious of the lift !

Was toying with replacing my SC but thinking I’m going to spend a bit of money making it look stunning again. It’s been 9 months since it was washed…

I had mine serviced last Wednesday and they washed it. The roads around here with the farming activity at the mo means the roads are brown. There's not a clean car about Very Happy 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
